Description Tom McKay 2012-01-11 18:42:52 UTC
subscription-manager-gui allows a date to be entered when viewing available subscriptions. Subscribing then sets that date as the time when the subscription will begin.

For feature parity, katello/headpin should provide the same.

Comment 1 Mike McCune 2012-01-17 23:14:05 UTC
sending this to V1.1

Comment 3 Bryan Kearney 2016-07-08 20:23:18 UTC
Per 6.3 planning, moving out non acked bugs to the backlog

Comment 5 Bryan Kearney 2017-06-30 19:30:26 UTC
This was delivered in Snap1

Comment 6 Radovan Drazny 2017-10-16 12:18:39 UTC
This bug is rather old, so some info seems to be not valid any more. Currently, when registering with subscription-manager-gui to CDN, it is possible to filter out subscriptions by "Show subscriptions active on" date. Setting this filter correctly displays subscriptions active on the given date. Registering using any of these filtered subscriptions subscribes system, showing Start Date and End date as set by the subscription contract. "Show subscriptions active on" date doesn't seem to have any influence on this.
So, for the feature parity, Satellite 6.3 behaves in the same way - it is possible to filter out subs active on a given date, and subscribing to one of them shows Start and End date as given by the subscription contract.

Tested on Satellite 6.3 Snap 20
