Description of problem:

Given a host's IP address, entering it into the Systems search field should return that host as well as the guests.

why?  you are searching for one system, why should the search return systems that are related in some way to the search results?

I'd find this confusing as a user personally...

Agreed that there are probably better ways to search for "all related systems" (eg. via a fact or clickable list off the host, etc.)
