added to the 4.3.CP02 release notes are resolved: JGRP-798 - On AIX, JGroups was not correctly determining the maximum fragment size of a UDP datagram which was causing several services to fail. This has been fixed.
Unfortunately I see it fail with soa-4.3.0.GA_CP02_CR3.zip (see attached cp02_cr3-server.log.gz).

Trev, can you confirm we shipped with the right version of JGroups?
Eap version currently in SOA 4.3 CP02 is EAP 4.3.0 CP06 which uses JGroups 2.4.6
Checked on current build and the failure's gone.
Neil, were you able to actually start the server without ugly jgroups exceptions? I cannot but error is different. So closing this issue and will open another one called "jgroups errors starting server on aix" :)
Since this has now been fixed, I have brought Darrin's Release Note cited above forward to the current documentation for CP03.
As per top comment, D. Mison's original release note has been used: SOA-624 https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JGRP-798 On AIX, JGroups was not correctly determining the maximum fragment size of a UDP datagram, causing several services to fail. This has been fixed.
