This has been fixed in CR2 and should be ready for verification in the most recent builds.

Adding as a known issue to the SOA 5.0.0 Release Notes:

The ESB examples packaged with JBoss Developer Studio 3.0 do not work correctly with JBoss Enterprise SOA Platform 5.0.

Darrinn, this should have been fixed for the very last CR2 build that we did and CR3 builds going forward. The issue was that the examples specifically tweaked for SOA 5 hadn't been moved to the right download server. There's a new category for "ESB for SOA-P 5.0" that now appears for the Project Examples that have been specifically tweaked for the new release. Were those the ones that you tried? Or was it the older ESB category examples?

The thing is that when I reopened this JIRA Len asked me to make sure it gets in the release notes. But since it will be fixed in JBDS GA, there's not point putting it in the release notes after all. So it can be removed again.

This was resolved through JBIDE-5546 and JBIDE-5659 back in January and February 2010.
