Description Jeff DeLong 2010-02-10 20:52:24 UTC
project_key: SOA

I am having problems getting SOA-P Beta2 to work with Oracle XE. It is not clear from the documentation whether Oracle XE is supported or not. Oracle XE appears to take a slightly different URL pattern (e.g., jdbc:oracle:thin:hostname:1521/XE, although different articles suggest that the standard URL pattern is supported or could be if you modify listener.ora)

While XE would not be typical for production use in an enterprise, it is appropriate for small scale systems as well as used by developers (I believe it is the only version available on OTN for free download).

Rejected by SOA-P PM team. There are no plans to support Oracle XE.
