The draft text for the Resolved Issues section of the Release Notes states:

    The product/samples/quickstarts/conf/base-build.xml file has been patched in order to
    support the new jBPM Graphical Process Designer (GPD) Deployer. As a result, the quick
    starts can now take advantage of this functionality.
