The SOA-P docs show that there is a "split" method that should be used  on StaticRouter [1], ContentBasedRouter [2], and StaticWiretap [3]. 

However, that method appears to now be deprecated [4] since MessageMulticaster is automatically adding aggregation details if the message is routed to more than one recipient.  Please see "sendToSubset()" method of MessageMulticaster [5].

We should probably update the Aggregator documentation [6] to explain how the out of the box router actions are automatically "splitting" the message and adding aggregation details if routed to multiple recipients.
