The mode:properties pseudo column is required to enable specific sql symantics specific to modeshape.   Without this column, certain UDF's will not be usable in queries.

Changes have been committed to the 2.2.x branch for the ER5 release.

Fixed in the project and verified when Designer importer was used to create the new ModeShape model and vdb.
