Affects: Compatibility/Configuration Help Desk Ticket Reference: https://c.na7.visual.force.com/apex/Case_View?id=500A0000004UJSA&sfdc.override=1 project_key: SOA The opensso quickstart currently uses OpenSSOv1 Build 4.5 (according to readme.txt), where Portal uses OpenSSO 8.0 Update 1 (according to http://www.jboss.com/products/platforms/portals/testedconfigurations/). A customer has tried to use the two in conjunction, it fails. Please use a singular version of OpenSSO so we can demonstrate interoperability. See related Portal JIRA JBPORTAL-2488.
Kevin to find out if it is possible to use the OpenSSO provided by portal for this. Not a blocker for SOA 5.1.0.
Try if we can upgrade OpenSSO for this example. If it does not work, we will pull the example.
Wrote to jboss-support-portal on 08/12 (asking 'Enterprise or Express'?) I'll report back what we hear.
Kevin, We got an answer back from the portal support list. At present, we are testing Portal with OpenSSO 8 update 1 Enterprise Additional context: - OpenSSO development has been stopped by Oracle - OpenAM is the replacement for OpenSSO - OpenAM is thought to work with EPP, but is not supported. A wiki is available (http://community.jboss.org/wiki/GateInAndOpenAMIntegration) Thanks, Rick
Link: Added: This issue is a dependency of SOA-3322
A new version has been tested, based on opensso 8 express 20090901. This integration was also tested against the opensso used for the EPP QA testing. The ability to deploy the opensso server within SOA has been removed, only the tomcat deployment is now supported. The SOA deployment was never a supported configuration and the update had too many issues to address in the timescales. The details of the changes have been sent to the platform team so that they can be committed into their repository. This issue should be resolved once this has been done.
The update is now in the SOA subversion repo, should be in ER4
EPP confirms that this version - as packaged in ER6 - will be OK: "Version: 8.0" "Created-On: 2009-September-1 11:46"
