pt_BR is showing 98% complete in our repo in future, lets let translators translate the strings. our current process makes it difficult for us to import translations on top of the work the translators are currently working.

I may have misunderstood this at first, but my patch was not used then? I cannot see it being applied in the master branch...
Here's an example of how the actual translation missed a lot of things: #: app/views/system_packages/_packages.html.haml:6 #: app/views/system_events/_events.html.haml:3 msgid "(Loaded %X of %Y Total)" msgstr "(Carregado %X of %Y Total)" The word "of" was not translated here, and there are other places where the translation is incorrect.
Shannon says he could not apply my translation, and since he recommends all translation to be derived from the zanata system, I'm closing it. But be warned that the current translation is full of mistakes.
I suggest we open a bug with an email to localization-services. that will create a RT ticket for the localization team to address the incorrect translations
