Thanks also for submitting this bug in audacity. Fedora 14 has gone end of line. This means that no package updates can be created for it. The current audacity version is 1.3.14 beta, and underlying libraries and kernel are much newer in the current releases, hopefully leading to some resolved issues. Are you able to reproduce this issue on Fedora 15, 16, or devel ?
