To debug this, I need the backtrace which tells me exactly where in the program it crashed. Would you please attach it to this bug report? Also, what scanner hardware or cameras were connected to your computer at the time of the crash?

Comment 3 Domenico Ferrari 2012-01-19 13:32:41 UTC
I think it's a bug related to nvidia and xorg when using xinerama. Now i'm using only one monitor and xsane is working well. Also I'm experiencing an annoying bug that prevent me from using kde, I've got a crash in ksmserver: as stated previously, xinerama enabled and xrandr disable. Using only one monitor the problem disappeared. I think this bug must be closed and I should report the new one in xorg-kde sections.

Comment 4 Nils Philippsen 2012-01-19 16:19:40 UTC
It may as well be a bug in xsane (though I don't think it really cares about dual-head, xinerama or not). Per your comments, I'll close this bug then.
