Description Robin Green 2012-01-21 06:35:22 UTC
Description of problem:
The installation instructions in /usr/share/doc/mediawiki-semantic-1.5.6/README.fedora don't work because you get:

[Sat Jan 21 06:26:25 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Warning: require_once(/usr/share/mediawiki/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/../SMW_Settings.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/share/mediawiki/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/SMW_Settings.php on line 13, referer: http://localhost/wiki/config/index.php
[Sat Jan 21 06:26:25 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error:  require_once(): Failed opening required '/usr/share/mediawiki/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/../SMW_Settings.php' (include_path='/usr/share/mediawiki:/usr/share/mediawiki/includes:/usr/share/mediawiki/languages:.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /usr/share/mediawiki/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/SMW_Settings.php on line 13, referer: http://localhost/wiki/config/index.php

The main installation instructions in /usr/share/doc/mediawiki-semantic-1.5.6/INSTALL would not work either because SemanticMediaWiki.php does not exist!

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mediawiki-semantic-1.5.6-1.fc16.noarch

Comment 1 James Laska 2012-01-23 15:07:38 UTC
Thanks for the bug report, it seems a newer version of SemanticMediaWiki will be needed. The latest version introduces a new dependency (Validator). I've proposed mediawiki-validator as a new package (see bug#784008).

Once that package is reviewed, I'll update mediawiki-semantic. That will resolve this issue.
