Description of problem: I use "sap" as a command-line music player. When I play something with spanish tilde in the title the next message appears: "(sap:25178): GStreamer-WARNING **: Trying to set string on structure field 'uri', but string is not valid UTF-8. Please file a bug.", and file plays without showing its title. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.10.35 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. This looks like a problem in sap to me. It should pass strings that are properly converted to UTF-8.
I agree. I filed this in upstream's bugtracker ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/sap+/+bug/953395 ), but since upstream is not really actively working on this anymore, I wouldn't get my hopes up about getting this fixed just yet. Thanks for the report though.
