Description of problem: I'm trying to use my satellite server client channels for a custom pungi spin but am picking up old packages. I've created a kickstart distribution and profile for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client (v. 6 for 64-bit x86_64) channel named rhel-client-devel. In my kickstart which is passed to pungi I point to my satellite server channel: repo --name=rhel --baseurl=http://satellite.jcdx.coi/ks/dist/rhel6-client-devel I have verified using the web GUI that the channel contains newer packages than are included in the iso that pungi builds. Also I do not think that there is are any version specific 'requires' causing this issue. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:

I don't agree that this is a support issue. I believe that it is either defect or a design flaw. When a channel syncs it should also check if it is being used in any kickstart profiles and update the repo data of the profiles using it. If you can assure me that this is the case then I'll agree that it is my use of Satellite that is the issue and seek help elsewhere.
Hi, Bugzilla is not a means to gain access to support for Red Hat products - but used to track defects/bugs in our product. Questions such as those in comment #2 are best routed to your account rep or via support ticket. If after consulting with support, they agree that there is a bug in our code, support can reopen this bug, associated the customer case, and re-align appropriately for being fixed. Regards, Cliff
