Description James Laska 2012-01-27 12:49:13 UTC
Description of problem:

The current CloudForms documentation lists a minimum RHEL OS requirement for installing the server-side components of system engine and cloud engine. I'm unable to find mention of minimum supported RHEL OS versions for deployed images. With no guidance, we are exposed to users expecting all RHEL6 releases [0-3], and all RHEL5 releases [0-9] to be capable of subscribing and consuming content from System Engine, after deployment.

Comment 1 Dan Macpherson 2012-02-06 18:25:17 UTC
Does this mean we are supporting the following for ver 1.0:

RHEL 6.0
RHEL 6.1
RHEL 6.2
RHEL 6.3

RHEL 5.0
RHEL 5.1
RHEL 5.2
RHEL 5.3
RHEL 5.4
RHEL 5.5
RHEL 5.6
RHEL 5.7
RHEL 5.8
RHEL 5.9

Fedora 15
Fedora 16
Fedora 17

Any other guest OSs that ver 1.0 will support?

Comment 2 Hugh Brock 2012-02-08 15:48:55 UTC
Fedora 15-17 are not actually supported guest OSes.

JRD, are you aware of any other issues with the list of supported guest OSes above?

Comment 3 jrd 2012-02-08 15:54:33 UTC
Yes. We've said repeatedly that for guests we support 5.8 and 6.x.

Adding mitch to confirm.

Comment 5 Mitch 2012-02-08 17:35:23 UTC
I've attached the latest guest O/S support matrix. This should help.

Comment 8 Mitch 2012-03-20 13:38:31 UTC
Just to confirm:

Should be RHEL 5.7/5.8 & RHEL 6.1/6.2

Comment 9 IanNeilsen 2012-03-28 00:13:17 UTC
