Description Alon Levy 2012-01-28 12:09:21 UTC
Description of problem:
Reported at http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/spice-devel/2011-October/005843.html

vmmouse_drv.so segfaults when running Xspice in a vm.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-qxl-0.0.21-14.fc17.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Xspice

Actual results:
segfault, return to prompt.

Expected results:
Xspice running.

Additional info:
A workaround is to disable udev since the failure is the following path:

config_udev_init/device_added/VMMousePreInit/VMMouseProtoInOut

This is accomplished with:

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
EndSection

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 19:12:47 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 2 Cole Robinson 2013-12-17 19:32:08 UTC
$ Xspice :1

doesn't obviously segfault for me on up to date F19 VM on F20 host, with xorg-x11-drv-qxl queued in updates-testing, so closing as WORKSFORME
