Description of problem: vinagre doesn't remember the VNC password when requested. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): vinagre-3.2.1-2.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect to a password-protected VNC server. 2. Enter the password, check remember. 3. Disconnect. 4. Connect again. Actual results: Prompted for password again. Expected results: No password prompt, session beings automatically using stored password.
Still a problem for me in Fedora 17 - vinagre-3.4.2-1.fc17.x86_64
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. Still present in vinagre-3.6.2-1.fc18.x86_64. vinagre remembers the password within a given session if started via a bookmark, but forgets as soon as it's closed.
Apparently this has been fixed upstream - https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=658441
Still present in F19: vinagre-3.8.2-1.fc19.x86_64
Ping after half a year: are there plans to fix this in F19? The upstream patch has been available for some time now.
This was fixed when 3.8.3 made it to F19, at the end of January.
