Description of problem: installation of package "fontbox" fails, due to unmet requirements Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): date of writing: 1st February 2012 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1.install fedora 16 2.install package "fontbox", f.e. using CLI `yum -y install fontbox` Actual results: Error: Package: fontbox-javadoc-1.0.0-3.fc15.x86_64 (fedora) Requires: fontbox = 1.0.0-3.fc15 Available: fontbox-1.0.0-3.fc15.x86_64 (fedora) fontbox = 1.0.0-3.fc15 Installing: fontbox-1.6.0-2.fc16.noarch (updates) fontbox = 1.6.0-2.fc16 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest Expected results: fontbox should install without a problem
Looks like you have the old fontbox-javadoc installed. Remove that and then install fontbox. I'll make an update that should fix this as well.
pdfbox-1.6.0-4.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/pdfbox-1.6.0-4.fc16
BTW - I'm happy to learn that someone is actually using the fontbox (and perhaps jempbox/pdfbox) package. Could I ask what for?
