Description of problem: When installing from the livedisk, the installer creates and formats a set of partitions. Part of the way through the install, the install reports corruption and quits. Whether I delete the partitions with parted or fix them with e2fsck, the problems recur on the next attempt to install. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Happens every time (~6/6) Steps to Reproduce: 1. install from livedisk 2. ??? 3. wait for install to abort reporting corruption Actual results: Corruption in ext4 partitions formatted by Fedora (verified with e2fsck) Expected results: successful install Additional info: ancient HP pavilion ze4610us w/stock hard disk. Worked fine before with older version of Fedora (~6) and is having no problems with Ubuntu currently. Shares 40G hard disk w/ntfs. Problem occurs with or without LVM2. Chose medium severity due to old machine. Fedora is unusable on it.
Please attach the exact error messages you are seeing to this bug report - syslog, /tmp/anaconda.log, all that kind of stuff. There's not enough information in this bug report to do anything with.
The initial error message included the following words "unrecoverable error ext4 filesystem check failure on /dev/mapper/vg_localhost-lv_root" and "filesystem errors left uncorrected". Please specify exactly what other "stuff" you are looking for.
/tmp/anaconda.log, /tmp/storage.log, /var/log/syslog
I got this problem too, does anaconda installer have bug?
Reopen if you can attach /tmp/*log and /var/log/messages
