Description of problem:

install f17 alpha tc1 with default options, after choose default repo with graphical installation.  Error shows there is insufficient disk space.

Your drive is 8 GB, which is apparently too small for the default installation these days.  anaconda successfully showed you what the problem was.  I don't see how we have a bug here.
