Description Ben Webb 2012-02-07 19:54:27 UTC
Description of problem:
We were previously using the dirvish package from EPEL 5 on our RHEL5 systems. However, when migrating our systems to RHEL6, yum complained that it could not find the dirvish package in EPEL 6. Has it been retired?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dirvish-1.2.1-4.el5.noarch

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. 'yum install dirvish'

Actual results:
Yum cannot find the dirvish package.

Expected results:
Yum installs dirvish package.

Additional info:
Upstream does not appear to have changed between RHEL5 and RHEL6. The package has no dependencies other than rsync and some basic Perl packages. In fact, the EPEL 5 RPM installs with no problems on a RHEL6 system. I can also rebuild the SRPM on a RHEL6 system without encountering any problems.

I can of course continue to use the EPEL 5 package, or even maintain my own package, if for some reason the package has been deliberately removed from EPEL 6. But if this was an oversight, I just wanted to bring it your attention.
