RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 6 Geyang Kong 2012-03-12 08:10:47 UTC
I cannot get enough information from comments in this bug and not sure how
to test this bug.I have also checked Bug 696075, but still have no idea how to test it. I need more informations such as what ENV I need to prepare and detailed steps I need to follow.

Comment 7 Geyang Kong 2012-03-12 09:13:23 UTC
Since we don't have env. to test this bug, do you still have env. can help us on this?

Comment 8 David Jaša 2012-03-12 16:56:06 UTC
Hi Geyang,

in order to verify the bug, you'll have to use the spice-xpi test page that does not feature smartcard toggle yet. I'll update the page later this week so you can wait with this (and I'll keep the needinfo on me set).

I'll post the (link to the) page when it will be ready.

spice-xpi test page

Geyang, this is the promised test page. It's pretty much self-explaining - when Smartcard is enabled and set, the client should work similarly like when you provide --spice-smartcard CLI option, when it is not set or disabled completely, it should not engage smartcard.

Comment 10 David Jaša 2012-03-16 15:39:26 UTC
verified in spice-client-0.8.2-13.el6.x86_64

Comment 11 David Jaša 2012-03-16 15:40:33 UTC

Hi Yuping,

The test page got merged to upstream spice-xpi git (at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/spice/spice-xpi) so you can take it from there. I guess that it will make it to downstream RHEL spice-xpi pretty fast, too.
