Description Michal Jaegermann 2012-02-12 22:19:02 UTC
Description of problem:

Starting abrt-gui from a command line works but one gets:

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"

Tracing that reveals an attempt to access
/usr/lib64/gtk-2.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so
but yum claims that none of current rawhide packages provides that.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
abrt-gui-2.0.7-4.fc17.x86_64

How reproducible:
just try to start that

Additional info:
As a matter of fact 'acroread' insists for some reasons on seeing
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so
and in Fedora 16 one can still get this. Smells like a headache in making. I would gladly dump 'acroread' save this small detail that this seems to be the only program able to fill "automatic" PDF forms.

Well, sort of. Bug 747449 is really about that various packages want to see
/usr/lib[64]/gtk-3.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so. That one does currently exists for fc17, rawhide. Many other packages (add, say, emacs to the list) insist on
/usr/lib[64]/gtk-2.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so and the one from gtk-3.0 cannot serve as a substitute. The one from gtk-2.0 was there in recent releases but now it vanished.

If that warning is just a noise then a missing libpk-gtk-module.so could be a "dummy" stub.
