:My screen didn't come back from suspend.
:I halted the system blindly, but it didn't shut down completely.
:So I had to push the physical off button for about 10 seconds.

Hello,

I'm observing a very similar issue when I try to format (via mke2fs) an SD card that's plugged into my laptop. After a couple of seconds the machine stops responding. After a reboot I find traces in /var/log/messages very similar to the above.

Any idea as to how to work around this ?

(I'm also using Fedora 16 with a 3.2.7 kernel.)

Thanks,

I have updated and will test if the issue has been fixed.

If you can still reproduce this in 3.4, please reopen. We believe this should be fixed with the current updates.
