Hello, I'm observing a very similar issue when I try to format (via mke2fs) an SD card that's plugged into my laptop. After a couple of seconds the machine stops responding. After a reboot I find traces in /var/log/messages very similar to the above. Any idea as to how to work around this ? (I'm also using Fedora 16 with a 3.2.7 kernel.) Thanks,
[mass update] kernel-3.3.0-4.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository. Please retest with this update.

If you can still reproduce this in 3.4, please reopen. We believe this should be fixed with the current updates.
