Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
Description of problem:
When manually creating a system, user can chose an arch of "x86". However, in the system list view, it is listed as an "i386" system. We should probably have some sort of uniformity in terminology.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Systems > +Add New System
2. When creating system, select an Architecture of "x86"; save.
3. Observe System list view.
4. Click on system details; observe Architecture value
Actual results:
* System List view
OS: i386
(note: nothing next to OS because as far as katello is concerned, there's nothing on system yet)
* System detail view
Arch i386
Expected results:
It should probably either read x86 in these spots - like when choosing arch - or the arch dropdown when creating should read i386.

Creating and Editing systems will now be consistent with respect to displaying architecture by showing the name of the architecture. (e.g. x86 instead of i386)
Returning this to dev; just noticed that despite the system view itself getting fixed, which might say something like
OS (nothing)
Arch x86
The listview shows
OS: i386
OS probably shouldn't list an arch in the listview, and whatever we show for arch should be congruent on both sides. rather than Open a new bug, we'll co-opt this one for all arch issues.
