Description Karel Srot 2012-02-15 08:14:31 UTC
In RHEL6 some nfs-utils services are using ports withing range 500-1023 not registered at IANA. This might lead to conflicts with port reservation.

Consider registering these default ports by IANA http://www.iana.org/ or use ports outside this range.

Comment 1 Karel Srot 2012-02-15 08:21:03 UTC
in /etc/sysconfig/nfs potential risk of conflicts on 892 (rpc.mountd) , 662 (rpc.statd) and 875 (rquotad), all commented out by default, none of these registered in IANA

Comment 2 Karel Srot 2012-02-15 08:26:19 UTC
Forgot to mention that port 662 is conflicting with pftp reservation
