Description of problem:
If you open subscription-manager-gui with LANG="" or with it unset, it does not default to your system's locale properly.

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install rhsm on a rhel 6 system
2. start rhsm-gui with:  LANG="" subscription-manager-gui   (or unset LANG)
3. Look at the date fields.
  
Actual results:
Date fields are in the format MM/DD/YY  (kind of confusing) 

Expected results:
My lang displays date fields in MM/DD/YYYY  (en_US.UTF-8)

What is the default locale for a system?
