Description Rehana 2012-02-17 16:16:04 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Created a Cloud and mapped the cloud to "vSphere" account
2. From the cloud, provisioned an application using the image(build and pushed to vSphere and rhevm)in rhevm cluster which is mapped only to rhevm provider

Actual results:

The application launch failed with below error "Some component blueprints will not be launched:VMware_Cloud: Cloud Resource Cluster RHEVM_Cluster is not mapped to any cloud resource provider or provider cluster"

Expected results:

The application launch failed because the RHEVM_Cluster was not mapped to vSphere account.

So it will be good if the Error message conveys to user saying "Can't lauch application on cloud;permission denied/No access to the Account for this cluster" or so..

Is this still an issue? Can we recreate?

Comment 3 Rehana 2012-05-08 07:02:50 UTC
yes i can still recreate the error message.

I followed the same step as mentioned in description, the error message got displayed was
"Some component blueprints will not be launched:
Vclouds: Cloud Resource Cluster Rcluster is not mapped to any cloud resource provider or provider cluster" which is expected behaviour.

my suggestion was to rephrase the error message, instead of saying "not mapped to any cloud resource provider or provider cluster" ,it will be good to show "The selected cluster doesnt have access to cloud account" or so.

Please let me know your comments?

Thanks Rehana, sounds reasonable to me in clarifying exactly what the issue is...
