OpenJDK6 RPMs in Fedora support JavaScript via the rhino engine. However with OpenJDK7, the support is broken. This is a regression and should be fixed.
java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.3-2.1.fc16.1 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.3-2.1.fc16.1
