Description of problem: I do build some packages to enhance my Desktop experience on RHEL6, and currently I'm struggling with libdesktop-agnostic due to the fact that the GTK+ package hasn't been patched to generate introspection files (ex: Gdk-2.0.gir). Would it be possible that a future maintenance update could contemplate this so that I could avoid running a patched GTK+ stack ? (not that I'm afraid to do it, it just seems wrong that it isn't supported upstream). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Name : gtk2 Relocations: (not relocatable) Version : 2.18.9 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc. Release : 6.el6 How reproducible: Try to build libdesktop-agnostic. Additional info: The deployment of such functionality would improve a lot RHEL Desktop usability and offer a bit more of options to users beyond the traditional GNOME2 Desktop. Though I'm a happy RHEL customer, this limitation starts to be a bit annoying.
We don't have gobject-introspection support at all in RHEL6.
