Description of problem: I cannot get my bluetooth mouse to work in kernel 2.6.42.x. It worked fine in 2.6.41.x. When I remove the pairing, then turn on the mouse, I get a dialog asking if I want to trust the mouse and pair with it. But I cannot select anything. This happens both with blueman and gnome-bluetooth. When I try to add it manually, I get either a timeout, host down, or operation already in progress error. Again, this only happens with the 2.6.42.x kernels. This did not happen in 2.6.41.x. I am using a MacBook Pro purchased in mid-2011. I will attach my sysinfo later. I cannot do so at the moment as I am using Windows and taking a break from house cleaning. The mouse is a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. I am using the built-in bluetooth transceiver in the laptop.

Is this still an issue with 2.6.43/3.3?
It is much worse in 3.3. Instead of simply failing, the result is a kernel panic.
# Mass update to all open bugs. Kernel 3.6.2-1.fc16 has just been pushed to updates. This update is a significant rebase from the previous version. Please retest with this kernel, and let us know if your problem has been fixed. In the event that you have upgraded to a newer release and the bug you reported is still present, please change the version field to the newest release you have encountered the issue with. Before doing so, please ensure you are testing the latest kernel update in that release and attach any new and relevant information you may have gathered. If you are not the original bug reporter and you still experience this bug, please file a new report, as it is possible that you may be seeing a different problem. (Please don't clone this bug, a fresh bug referencing this bug in the comment is sufficient).
With no response, we are closing this bug under the assumption that it is no longer an issue. If you still experience this bug, please feel free to reopen the bug report.
I believe I have determined the source of the problem. In three words: I hate Broadcom. This is an Early 2011 17" MacBook Pro. Take note of that model in case you hear this again. I think the Bluetooth and the WiFi radios are both on the same chip, but Linux will only use one driver for that chip at a time. Thus, I have to choose between WiFi and Bluetooth. I'm not sure if re-opening the bug is appropriate or not in this case. Hope this helps.
Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
