Can you attach output of: $rpm -qa \*firefox\* \*xulrunner\*
xulrunner-11.0-3.fc15.i686 firefox-11.0-1.fc15.i686 thank you
Hm, it looks ok but the packages may be corrupted - the error message does not make sense. Can you run: $rpm -V firefox $rpm -V xulrunner
the two lines of commands do not return anything thank you
That's weird. Can you attach content for /usr/lib/firefox ($ll is enough), and the /usr/lib/firefox/application.ini. I think there are some remains from older firefox versions, so it may help if you remove the firefox package (by rpm -e firefox --nodeps), remove the /usr/lib/firefox dir and install firefox again.

Hm, I have no idea where the 7.0.1 version comes from, your application.ini looks correct. Can you try to grep all files in /usr/lib/firefox and /usr/lib/xulrunner-2 for text '7.0.1'? Like: $grep -r '7.0.1' * Just out of curiosity, if you download an upstream binary from mozilla.org, does it work for you?
[xxxxx@localhost firefox]$ grep -r '7.0.1' * Fichier binaire xulrunner/libxul.so concordant [xxxxx@localhost xulrunner-2]$ grep -r '7.0.1' * Fichier binaire libxul.so concordant I am currently working with the binary of mozilla without problem if I run the above commands on a computer F16, I get the same result and yet works well firefox
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
the computer is now in F16 preupgrade and the problem is always the same I currently use the binary from mozilla thank you
