Description of problem: Fedora repository metadata is not signed. Per http://yum.baseurl.org/wiki/RepoCreate " gpg --detach-sign --armor repodata/repomd.xml This will create a repomd.xml.asc file in the repodata directory which for modern versions of yum this will allow yum to verify that the repository metadata came from the owner of the gpg key. "
This is actually rather complicated due to how our repositories are created and our packages are signed, as I understand it. Assigning to rel-eng lead who can comment more.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16.
