Description of problem:

pretty view and grid view show two different states for applications.
See screenshots..

recreate:
1. setup aeolus, create app blueprints w/ config services
2. make sure your config server has a firewall running that closes all ports except 22
3. try to launch a application that uses that config server

You end up w/ an application stuck in 
"NEW" in pretty view
"Pending" in grid view

The instance/deployment state setting was refactored since this report and this should be fixed.

Nit: on first screenshot is instance state, on second screenshot is application (deployment) state.
