Description Dimitar Yordanov 2012-04-05 13:44:50 UTC
Description of problem:
Entitlement changes are not tracked in the profile snapshots.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satallite 5.4.1
Spacewalk 1.7

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Register System to Satellite/SW
2. Add Provisioning Entitlement
Systems -> the System -> Properties -> check Provisioning
3. Add Monitoring Entitlement
Systems -> the System -> Properties -> check Monitoring
4. Check last two created Snapshots
Systems -> the System -> Provisioning -> Snapshots

Actual results:
The last two snapshots claim no difference to the current profile configuration but the snapshot made just before the last one does not contain Monitoring Entitlement.
If rollback to it the Monitoring entitlement will be removed from the system.

Expected results:
New Monitoring Tab could be created that will track the changes in the entitlements set as it is for the rest of the profile items like Groups, Channels, Packages, Config Channels, and Config Files.

Marking as RFE

Comment 3 Jan Dobes 2017-11-10 15:28:36 UTC
I checked this on Satellite 5.8 because Spacewalk doesn't have entitlements anymore. It seems behaving correctly - snapshot was added after entitlement was added/removed.

This BZ doesn't make sense for Spacewalk anymore, closing.

Sorry, I misunderstood the bug description. Snapshots detail page still doesn't tell a difference between such two snapshots. Anyway, move to Sat 5 tracker and decide this BZ's fate here.
