Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

This bug is created as a clone of upstream ticket:

We have a ticket, #2276, to allow resetting the password using forms-based login. As a step towards that it would be good to be able to detect that a reset is required. Right now it reports an incorrect password.

Two patches. The first is to add a new header, X-IPA-Rejection-Reason to rpcserver.py. The second has the UI interpret the reason code and display different messages.

Got error:

Password expired

Please run kinit to reset the password and then try to login again.

If the problem persists, contact your administrator.
