Description Bill Sanford 2012-04-12 16:53:43 UTC
Description of problem:
In a RHEV-M ic155 setup, I added a RHEV-M 2.2 compatible domain with 5.8 hosts. In the qemu-kvm, the parameter for sound "-soundhw ac97" is present. The 53011 tools ISO were installed on the guest.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEL 5.8

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install RHEV-M 2.2 compatible domain with 5.8 hosts in RHEV-M 3.0 (ic155).
2. Install Windows 7 32-bit guest.
3. Launch SPICE client.

Actual results:
Sound drivers are not loaded in guest.

Expected results:
Sound drivers are loaded in guest.

This is not spice responsability. I suppose it's somewhere in RHEV?

It was fixed by adding ICH6 sound device to qemu, but I don't think it's available for RHEL5.

Please reassign
