The bundled iwlwifi firmware in Fedora 16, and possibly other versions has the LED option set to ON/OFF for what seems to be RX/TX. I'm unsure how this affects others, but on my laptop, a fairly luminous LED switched from blue to orange in quick succession constantly *all of the time*. I switched the option to '1', for ON (blue on my laptop) for an enabled adapter and OFF (orange on my laptop) for a disabled adapter. As a result, my eyes are no longer being attacked with useless information in the form of photonic binary. I am submitting this report because I believe, if there enough laptops that have LEDs that behave similarly, that this default behaviour sucks and should be defaulted to the one I have already set it to.

Please retest with this kernel, and let us know if your problem has been fixed. Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
