RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Just note that this issue is not the same as bz750761.

Comment 6 Tomas Pelka 2012-04-19 11:25:50 UTC
Oh I meant plymouth instead of dracut, sorry.

Comment 7 Tomas Pelka 2012-04-19 13:20:41 UTC
I'm quite sure that it works on RHEL6.3-20120328.1 aka Alpha 1, it is not working on current tree I've used RHEL6.3-20120419.n.0.

Comment 8 Tomas Pelka 2012-04-19 13:21:06 UTC
I have the same problem on NVS450.

Comment 11 Ben Skeggs 2012-05-16 00:46:51 UTC
What's the status of this with kernel -268 btw? I've been testing some boards for suspend/resume in 6.3 and NVS295 was among them.

Booting with a single DP worked fine, I don't have enough DP->VGA adapters to test both though.

Comment 12 Tomas Pelka 2012-05-22 08:09:28 UTC
Hi Ben,

I can still see the same behaviour with kernel -272.

I'm using DP->DVI adapter, but I'm going to try DP without adapter as well.

Comment 13 Tomas Pelka 2012-05-22 08:32:09 UTC
OK, without adapter it is working just fine. That is weird since I hadn't problems with other graphics (nVidia and ATI).

Comment 14 Suzanne Logcher 2012-05-29 19:38:21 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the
current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is
not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately
unable to address this request at this time. It has been proposed for the next
release.
