Description rvcsaba 2012-05-07 09:53:55 UTC
Description of problem:

I use Xfce, I plugged in my pendrive into USB connector, and mount pendrive's filesystem with xfce4-places-plugin.

I see my files on /run/media/$USER, but don't see on /media. /media directory is empty.

/media symlinked /run/media.

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2012-05-07 19:20:00 UTC
This is expected, see:
 http://fedorapeople.org/groups/docs/release-notes/en-US/sect-Release_Notes-Changes_for_Desktop.html

3.1.4. Removable media changes mount points
Removable media mounted in the user's session, such as hot-plugged USB drives, will be mounted in a user-specific directory. Mount points are provisioned in /run/media/$USER/ with permissions allowing $USER exclusive access.

Comment 2 rvcsaba 2012-05-07 21:24:26 UTC
OK, but /media not linked to /run/media. Why? I remove /media:

rmdir /media
rmdir: failed to remove `/media': Device or resource busy

I don't change empty /media directory to /media -> /run/media symlink.

Comment 3 rvcsaba 2012-05-07 22:19:53 UTC
I can't change...
