Description Jurgen Kramer 2012-05-16 18:44:28 UTC
Description of problem:
The hfs+ /boot partition created by anaconda has no label or label 'untitled'

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda-17.26-1

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install F17 RC1 on x86 mac
2. boot using rEFIt
3.

Actual results:
When using rEFIt as my bootloader it shows two boot options for Fedora similar to 'Boot EFI\redhat\grub.efi from untitled'.

Expected results:
Anaconda gives the hfs+ partition a sensible name e.g. 'Fedora 17' | 'Fedora 17 x86_64' etc.

Additional info:
This could even be a regression from previous releases. Tested with F17 RC1 x86_64.

mkfs.hfsplus does seem to support labels, and we're going to have UI in the newui to have user defined labels to go along with defaults. Pretty sure this is something we can do.
