Description darwinian.empire 2012-06-18 20:13:46 UTC
Description of problem:
A recent update has caused KDM to take approximately 30 seconds before responding to the "enter" key which is supposed to log me in. While not responding to "enter" presses, the other KDM controls, which include the text boxes and the session selection pop menu are still responsive.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
KDE 4.8.3

How reproducible:
Happens on my laptop and my PC. Both running Fedora 17. Happens on every login attempt.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reboot or log off the computer
2. Try to log in imminently

Actual results:
KDM waits for about 30 seconds before logging me in. The controls are not disabled during that time.

Expected results:
Immediate log in.

Additional info:
I'm using the default KDM theme which is bundled with Fedora 17

Mind posting your /var/log/yum.log for items that you've installed/updated since this problem started?
