Trying to close it manually while it is waiting to be closed automatically *may* be the reason why the program crashed. Cannot say for certain, but I've reported a race condition directly in compose_close a year ago: http://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2398 It could be that there's a similar one related to "Send Later" and compose_close. If it happens reproducibly, somebody could report it to the Claws Mail developers directly (and be able to answer any questions that might come up): http://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/index.cgi
