Description of problem: When launched from runlevel 3 with "startx" command, gnome-shell loops using all cpu available cycles. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.4.1 How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot to runlevel 3 2. type startx 3. run top, see gnome-shell eat cpu Actual results: System is very slow, unusable. Expected results: System is not very slow. Additional info: System runs fine from runlevel 5. Same problem observed with cinnamon desktop. No shell extensions in use. Tried several differnet kernels, no difference.
