RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Looks like Konqueror or Firefox aren't exporting that they handle the x-scheme-handler/http mime-type. Can you reproduce the bug with GNOME 3.6-based setup?

What's the output of:
gvfs-mime --query x-scheme-handler/http
on your system?

Comment 8 Vladimir Benes 2012-10-16 12:49:46 UTC
No default applications for 'x-scheme-handler/http'

Comment 9 Matthias Clasen 2012-10-16 13:07:25 UTC
firefox-16.0.1-1.fc18.x86_64 does claim to support x-scheme-handler/http, and it does show up in the control-center combo box here. Whats different in rhel7 ?

Comment 10 Vladimir Benes 2012-10-16 13:31:34 UTC
$ rpm -q firefox
firefox-10.0.8-2.el7.x86_64

Comment 11 Matthias Clasen 2012-10-16 14:16:36 UTC
So, I assume this will sort itself out when we get the next esr with firefox 17.

Vladimir, can you file a separate bug against konqueror for adding x-scheme-handler/http ?

Comment 13 Bastien Nocera 2012-10-16 15:46:38 UTC
Can we close this as NOTABUG or reassign it to Firefox?

Comment 16 Radek Bíba 2013-03-06 12:22:48 UTC
Firefox and Konqueror are available on my system, but only Konqueror is in the menu. Additionally, when I click a link in a non-KDE application, a Konqueror window is opened, but the home page is displayed instead of the desired URL. Steps to reproduce: run yelp, scroll down to About, click it, click the link to the license.

Comment 17 Martin Stransky 2013-03-14 14:55:10 UTC
Added to firefox-17.0.4-2.el7

Comment 18 Martin Stransky 2013-03-19 07:10:18 UTC
Built in brew, will be a part of next compose.

Comment 20 Vladimir Benes 2013-03-19 08:37:09 UTC
it now works as expected ;-)
