Description sfisher3 2000-01-12 23:40:35 UTC
In attempting to upgrade KDE I loaded One of the patches:
kdebase-1.1.2-11.i386.rpm
which signalled that it needed libqimgio.so.0...but I forced the install
thinking that since I was installing a new libs package
(kdelibs-1.1.2-9.i386.rpm), that would cover it.
Apparently it did not and my KDE is now broken. I have tried to search
the KDE site, and the RedHat site but I have had no luck in finding
libqimgio.so.0.

qimgio comes from qt1x.
While at it, you very probably want to get the KDE (and qt1x) packages from Raw
Hide (ftp://rawhide.redhat.com/) - I've fixed several bugs since the last errata
release.
(Warning: Don't update every package on your system to the Raw Hide version.
Raw Hide is experimental and some packages are known broken. Updating qt1x and
kde* is safe, though.)
