Description of problem:
sendmail rpm package update replace running postfix service

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):


How reproducible:
yum upgrade

Steps to Reproduce:
1.yum upgrade
2.reboot or similar
3. where is postfix?
  
Actual results:
postfix dead after sendmail package update

Expected results:
postfix service running

Did you have selected postix as your system MTA? The service settings is refreshed during upgrade according to your alternatives settings, i.e. check by:

# alternatives --display mta
mta - status is manual.
 link currently points to /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix
...

You need to have 'postfix' there as above, if not, update your settings by:

# alternatives --config mta

And select postfix as your system MTA.

Well, seems that sendmail was selected. But, OFF on init, not running during update. Postfix ON and running while update. No warning about this.

Why mta is running if is not preferred?
