Description of problem:
when I compiled binutils-2.13(last stable) for PPC(cross compile),
complained like below...

Internal compiler error in simply_subreg, at simplyfy-rtx.c:2452

filename is ./config/tc-ppc.c

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gcc 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ./configure --target=powerpc-linux --prefix=/some/prefix/
2. make
3.
    

Actual Results:  compile error

Expected Results:  no compile error

Additional info: Should I downgrade?

No, you should upgrade. This ought to be fixed in rawhide gcc.
