Description Aleš Mareček 2012-09-03 09:15:41 EDT
Description of problem:
When I create run or just reserve ppc machine from beaker it has set only 32-bit repo (ppc). That means some components which need 64-bit version installed to can't work properly. Also, it isn't possible to install ppc64 version of package with standard "yum" method.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.9.2

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. bkr workflow-tcms --run=12345 --errata=12345 --new --reserve --arch=ppc64
OR
reserve ppc64 machine and choose nightly (5.9)
2. Check the repositories:
i:ppc64|m:ppc64 root@ibm-ps701-01-lp1 [~]# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/beaker-Server.repo | grep ppc

baseurl=http://download.eng.bos.redhat.com/released/RHEL-5-Server/U8-RC-3/ppc/os/Server

Actual results:
No ppc64 repository

Expected results:
ppc64 repository present

Comment 1 Dan Callaghan 2012-09-03 19:26:00 EDT
There are no separate ppc64 repos for RHEL5. The ppc tree contains both ppc and ppc64 builds. If you want to install the 64-bit version of a package, you can do

    yum install foo.ppc64
